Update: Police at a 1: 30 p.m. EST interview recognized the shooter as a 43- year-old male without any recognized ties to MSU.

The mass shooting occurred at Michigan State University at Berkey Hall and the trainee union beginning around 8: 18 p.m. The suspect was discovered numerous hours later on off school and apparently shot himself in the head.
