After Friday’s ruling from the Supreme Court that upheld a law requiring the divesture of ByteDance from the TikTok app, over 170 million users in the United States were blocked from using the app with a message that stated, “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now.”

BREAKING: TikTok Officially Banned in the United States – President Trump Expected to Reinstate App

The message read:

“A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S.  Unfortunately, that means you can’t use TikTok for now.

We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes officer.  Please stay tuned!”

Initially, Joe Biden has pledged not to uphold the ban on the app, however, after the ruling came down, Biden reneged on that promise and allowed the ban to take effect just days before the inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump.

The ban resulted in at least one disgruntled TikTok user setting fire to a Wisconsin congressman Glenn Grotham’s office, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

This morning, however, hours before President rightfully assumes the Presidency, TikTok has reinstated the application to 170 million Americans with a crushing blow of a message for Democrats:

“Thanks for your patience and support.  As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.!

You can continue to create, share, and discover all the things you love on TikTok.”

In a statement published to X, TikTok thanked President Trump for “providing the necessary clarity and assurance” that they will not face penalties for offering their service in the United States and, in addition to the 170 million users, also “allowing over 7 million small business to thrive.”

TikTok vowed to work with President Trump on a “long-term solution” that keeps the app running the United States while still standing strong for the First Amendment.
