Five ex-Memphis law enforcement officers were charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping on Thursday in the death of a black vehicle driver.
The officers, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr. and Justin Smith– were fired on Friday after the vehicle driver, Tyre Nichols, passed away following a violent fight throughout a January 7 traffic stop.
Video of the policeman beating Tyre Nichols will be launched on Friday at 6 pm regional time, the DA stated.

” The actions of all of them led to the death of Tyre Nichols and they are all accountable,” Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy informed press reporters.

Five previous Memphis policeman were prosecuted Thursday on murder charges in the death of Tyre Nichols, whose whipping following a traffic stop was caught on video that “sickened” a leading Tennessee police authorities.
The officers– Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr. and Justin Smith– were fired after cops Chief C.J. Davis stated they broke department policies throughout the Jan. 7 stop that resulted in Nichols’ death.
All 5 previous officers were charged with second-degree murder, 2 counts of main misbehavior, 2 counts of intensified kidnapping, one count of main injustice and one count of exacerbated attack, district attorneys revealed.
Haley and Martin were being kept in lieu of a $350,000 bond, while Bean, Mills and Smith will require to publish $250,000 to leave custody, prison records revealed.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation led the probe and company director David Rausch stated the video will be clear cut.
