The House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government is presently hosting a hearing on flexibility of journalism and safeguarding reporters, as the Biden Regime tries to infringe on the rights of journalism and shape newspaper article to fit their story.
Rep Chip Roy opened the hearing at 9: 30 am ET, saying, “Today’s hearing has to do with safeguarding our basic liberty and safeguarding reporters and their sources from these attacks. We will take a look at the federal government’s violation on the liberty of journalism and take a look at the potential customers for federal guard law.”
Witnesses consist of investigative reporters Catherine Herridge and Sharyl Attkisson and Chief Broadcast Officer at SAG-AFTRA News & & Broadcast Department Mary Cavallaro.
Recall that last month, Catherine Herridge, an Emmy-winning and chosen press reporter understood for her deal with nationwide security and intelligence, was kept in civil contempt by an Obama-appointed federal judge for her rejection to unmask her private sources connected to a smash hit story on how there is seepage from China in United States universities.
The judge purchased Herridge to turn over her source( s) in reaction to a claim that was submitted by Chinese-American researcher Yanping Chen versus the FBI. Chen subpoenaed Herridge in an effort to learn who her sources were. When Herridge declined, she was threatened with contempt charges and possible prison time.
