Eugene “Gene” Huelsman, 58, was detained in Los Angeles on an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Pensacola, Florida.
Huelsman threatened to “put a bullet in” Gaetz and his future kids.
” Tell [M.G.] to view his back, inform him to see his kids,” Huelsman informed Gaetz’s workplace on Jan. 9, 2021, according to the two-page indictment protecting the legislator’s name as “M.G.” that was acquired by Law & & Crime “I’m coming for him, he’s gon na fucking die … I’m gon na fucking eliminate him … Watch your back, I’m coming for you. Eugene Huelsman left the voicemail for Gaetz, R-Fla., on Jan. 9, 2021, 3 days after a mob of advocates of then-President Donald Trump assaulted the U.S. Capitol.
Huelsman, 59, of Thousand Oaks near Los Angeles, stated, in part, “I’m gon na put a bullet in you,” and he called Gaetz a “autocrat,” according to court files.
Huelsman pleaded guilty to one count of transmission of a hazard in interstate commerce in April.
He was sentenced to 6 months’ house confinement and 5 years of probation and fined $10,000, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida stated.
