Oyer’s Deep State lawyer Michael Bromwich (he also represented Andrew McCabe) blasted the Justice Department for asserting their authority.

“This highly unusual step of directing armed law enforcement officers to the home of a former Department of Justice employee who has engaged in no misconduct, let alone criminal conduct, simply to deliver a letter, is both unprecedented and completely inappropriate,” Michael Bromwich wrote to the Justice Department, according to Reuters.

A Justice Department spokesman did not have any immediate comment. Oyer declined to comment through a spokesman ahead of the hearing.

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin put on an Oscar-worthy performance on Monday as he decried the Trump Administration’s decision to mobilize US Marshals to warn Oyer against testifying.

Liz Oyer brushed off the warning from the DOJ and testified to congressional Democrats.

“I’m here because I will not be bullied into concealing the ongoing corruption and the abuse of power at the Department of Justice,” Oyer told Democrats at a show hearing on Monday.

“The DOJ is entrusted with keeping us safe, upholding the rule of law and protecting our civil rights.

“There’s a couple of times when – I mean, look, I’ve been his biggest critic for good reason and when he got reelected I said, ‘I’m not going to pre-hate anything.’ And then the first week, I said ‘well there’s lots of things I hate because I do,’” Maher continued. “But the way he can do that, and sometimes make me go, ‘Oh man, I’ve got to give it up.’”

Earlier today, President Donald Trump has issued a powerful ultimatum to the Chinese Communist Party: withdraw your new 34% retaliatory tariff on U.S. goods by tomorrow or face a crippling 50% tariff from the United States.

Beijing hit back to the threat, saying in a statement from its Ministry of Commerce, that “pressuring or threatening China is not a right way to engage.”

China is in complete denial and this won’t end well for them.

China has noted that on April 7, Eastern Time, the United States threatened to further impose 50% tariffs on China. China firmly opposes this. If the US escalates its tariff measures, China will resolutely take countermeasures to safeguard its own rights and interests.

The US’s imposition of so-called “reciprocal tariffs” on China is completely groundless and is a typical unilateral bullying practice. The countermeasures China has taken are aimed at safeguarding its sovereignty, security and development interests, and maintaining the normal international trade order. They are completely legitimate. The US threat to escalate tariffs on China is a mistake on top of a mistake and once again exposes the blackmailing nature of the US. China will never accept this. If the US insists on its own way, China will fight to the end.

China reiterates that there are no winners in a trade war and no way out of protectionism. Pressure and threats are not the right way to deal with China. China urges the US to immediately correct its wrong practices, cancel all unilateral tariff measures against China, stop economic and trade suppression of China, and properly resolve differences with China through equal dialogue on the basis of mutual respect.

Florida authorities have obliterated a monstrous international child pornography network, seizing over one million videos and images depicting the sexual abuse of children—including helpless infants.

Eight degenerates, including seven Florida residents and a Turkish kingpin, now face the wrath of the law for their roles in this stomach-churning operation.

The bust, spearheaded by Florida’s Statewide Prosecution and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), uncovered a sophisticated dark web operation with ties to Turkey, where the alleged ringleader, Emre Bozuyuk, laundered money through hacked financial accounts.

But the most damning revelation? Many of the buyers found this filth through TikTok.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, a father of three, didn’t mince words at Monday’s press conference, calling the perpetrators “truly evil” and vowing to lock them away where they’ll “never see the sun again.”

Busting an international child pornography ring. We will be bringing charges against eight individuals this morning, seven of whom are Florida residents. As a dad of three little ones, it’s tough to talk about some of this stuff, but what these guys were doing was truly heinous. Our investigators have been able to get their hands on over a million videos showing sexual abuse of minors. Many of these individuals were babies that are being sold around the world. The 2023 National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports over 36 million instances of suspected child sexual exploitation and over 100 million files related to child sex abuse material. That’s only what’s getting reported.

This continues to be a problem in our country, in our state. Protecting our kids is not an easy task to begin with. Today, with access to the Internet and social media, it allows these sick predators to more easily get access to our kids. As I’ve said, in my first five or six weeks on the job here, that’s going to be a major priority for my office.

The individuals that are being busted today, that purchased this harmful content—many of them found it through TikTok. It was available online. They found access to a portal where they could purchase this dangerous material.

TikTok has shown they can very quickly get stuff off their website. If there’s unlicensed music or something going around, they’ve proven—with the flip of a switch—they can get it off.

And it’s taken too long for them to get some of this pornographic material and avenues to purchase harder, more gross content. We’ve got to get them to be more accountable. We will be working on that.

We are going to hold social media companies accountable that want to put our families and our kids in jeopardy. Today, these eight defendants are being charged with multiple felony counts, including RICO, money laundering, and purchase of child pornography.

Again, I can’t tell you in words how gross this content is, but it shows the dangers—the evil—that’s out there. It is truly evil. You’ve got my word that in this state, we are going to do everything we can to hold these people accountable. If you are a child predator, if you are one of these sick people, then I hope you never see the sun again, and I hope you certainly never have access to kids again.

The eight defendants face charges including RICO, money laundering, and purchasing child pornography. Among them:

• Krunal Kumar Nareshbhai Modi of New Jersey is charged with one count each of racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations (RICO), conspiracy to commit RICO, and money laundering;
• Frankie Piniero, Jr. of Groveland, Florida is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony;
• Brett Ryan Moore of Orange City is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony;
• Israel Cole Thompson of Lakeland is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony;
• Brett Allen Snodderly of Clearwater is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony;
• Jacob Ross Conly of Fern Park is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony;
• Kody Vance Jordan Muti of Palm Bay is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony; and
• Michael Andrew Warren of Kissimmee is charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit RICO, purchase of child pornography, use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony.

According to the attorney general’s office, “law enforcement issued additional arrest warrants for Bozuyuk and Xiomara Del Real Maqueda in Oregon. Bozuyuk is charged with RICO, conspiracy to commit RICO, money laundering, 13 counts of promotion of sexual performance by a child 10 images or more, 11 counts of selling child pornography, 13 counts of out-of-state transmission of child pornography by electronic device, 13 counts of distribution of obscene material, and nine counts of use of two-way communication device. Maqueda is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.”

A former federal employee and his wife, an executive at a green energy nonprofit, have been charged with defacing multiple Tesla vehicles in Washington, D.C.’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

According to The Washington Post, the acts are being investigated as potential hate crimes.

Justin and Emily Fisher, who reside in the exclusive Capitol Hill area, released a joint statement through their respective attorneys.

In it, they described themselves as longtime residents of the District who “voluntarily came forward and cooperated” with law enforcement.

“Our understanding is that the allegations in this case involve non-violent and non-destructive conduct that resulted in no property damage,” the statement read.

“We trust that the government and the court system will treat our clients with fairness and proportionality.”

”We look forward to ensuring their constitutional rights are upheld in accordance with the rule of law.”

Police say that several vehicles were marked with messages attacking Elon Musk, including one belonging to a teacher parked at her elementary school.

A total of six incidents were reported, including one vehicle that was vandalized on two separate occasions.

Two Teslas were targeted on nearby blocks, and the new charges expand the number of incidents previously reported by authorities.

Many of the damaged vehicles were located between three and ten blocks from the Fishers’ home.

Authorities confirmed that the couple received citations requiring them to appear in court at a future date.

Since the charges are misdemeanors, the two were not taken into custody or brought before a judge for arraignment and were released after standard processing.

The offense of defacing private property in D.C. carries a maximum penalty of a $5,000 fine and up to one year in jail.

Prosecutors have not brought hate-crime enhancements at this stage, which would increase the penalties.

Among the messages allegedly found on the vehicles, police said one read: “Go Doge I support Musk killing the dept of Education.”

“I love Musk and hate the Fed Gov’t,” another read.

A third was found with the phrase: “Ask me about my support of Nazis” written on the rear windshield.

Mrs. Fisher’s messages on Tesla are particularly ironic given that she works as an executive at Smart Electric Power Alliance, which states its goal as building a world of carbon-free energy.

The attacks are part of a wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla and other Elon Musk companies unleashed by the Democratic Party and left-wing critics of Elon Musk.

Most of these individuals are upset about Musk’s support for Trump as well as his work with the Department of Government Efficiency, which is seeking to eliminate over a trillion dollars in waste and fraud from the federal government.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have promised to prosecute such individuals to the fullest extent of the law, warning that they risk a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

In the context of the United States urging Europe to shoulder more of the burden for their own continental security, there are also doubts over the survival of the US-UK ‘special relationship,’ and many in the British national security community are even worried about the ‘last bastion’: the countries’ approach to intelligence sharing.

US President Donald J. Trump ordered in March that American intelligence not be shared with Ukraine, the order also covered other countries in the ‘Five Eyes’ security alliance. The order has been since rescinded, but gave the operatives a terrifying window of a world without US intel help.

Politico reports:

“The links between Britain and America’s intelligence networks go so deep that it may be impossible to untangle them, or to replicate the U.S. contribution, according to current and former intelligence officials who have worked across the regions and were granted anonymity to speak candidly to POLITICO about areas of national security.”

So now, Britain has to begin planning for the previously unthinkable scenario where US intel may be lacking.

“Britain’s status as a comparative heavyweight in the intelligence sphere goes back decades, having been formalized in the establishment of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance of the U.K., U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand following World War II.

In the years since, the vast scale of joint operations and surveillance went largely unreported until NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden leaked over 1.5 million classified documents in 2013 and unearthed the alliance’s work across the globe.

“While the U.K. can help analyze imagery the U.S. collects from space, it doesn’t have the capability to collect it itself, the official said. And any sharing from the U.S. ‘can, of course, also be turned on or turned off’.”

American ventures like In-Q-Tel, a venture capital firm for the CIA, is a funder in at least 29 investments in various British tech and defense companies, and many US companies like Palantir and Anduril have contracts in Britain ‘including with central government data, the NHS, the armed forces and the police’.

“Musk’s interest in influencing British and European politics has been explicit, and Palantir founder Peter Thiel — who helped fund and mentor Vice President JD Vance — is also ‘obviously highly ideological’, said one figure in the U.K. intelligence community now working in the private sector.”

The operative says: “You have to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.”

Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts indefinitely blocked a court order requiring the return of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia by midnight tonight.

Earlier Monday, President Trump asked the US Supreme Court to intervene and grant an emergency stay of the judge’s order to return alleged MS-13 gang member Abrego Garcia to the United States.

Last Friday US District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Maryland, Paula Xinis ordered the Trump Administration to return an alleged MS-13 gang member to the United States after he was deported to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison.

Judge Xinis ordered the Salvadoran gang member to be returned by Monday at midnight but Roberts blocked her order.

Solicitor General John Sauer took issue with Judge Xinis’ broad order and condensed timeline it his emergency application to the Supreme Court.

“The Constitution vests the President with control over foreign negotiations so that the United States speaks with one voice, not so that the President’s central Article II prerogatives can give way to district-court diplomacy. If this precedent stands, other district courts could order the United States to successfully negotiate the return of other removed aliens anywhere in the world by close of business. Under that logic, district courts would effectively have extraterritorial jurisdiction over the United States’ diplomatic relations with the whole world,” Solicitor General John Sauer argued in his emergency application to the Supreme Court.

John Sauer also said the US does not control El Salvador and therefore “cannot compel El Salvador to follow a federal judge’s bidding.”
