Senator Ron Johnson called for an investigation after a top CDC Covid vaccine safety officer’s records went ‘missing.’

Johnson said Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, the director of the CDC’s Immunization Safety Office, may have deleted records related to the Covid vaccine’s adverse reactions.

Department of Health and Human Services officials told Ron Johnson that they could not find requested documents under subpoena and believed they may have been deleted from the HHS’s email system.

Senator Johnson called on the Department of Justice, FBI, HHS and OIG to investigate the ‘mishandling’ of records.

“Dr. Shimabukuro’s potential mishandling of his official records is highly concerning. His actions, if true, would have directly obstructed my multi-year oversight efforts of the COVID-19 vaccines and would be in clear violation of my November 19, 2024 demand to HHS, CDC, and the Food and Drug Administration to ‘preserve all records referring or relating to the development, safety, and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines.’ Furthermore, given Dr. Shimabukuro’s role at CDC, which includes monitoring adverse events relating to the COVID-19 vaccines, his communications are directly responsive to my January 28, 2025, subpoena to HHS for records relating to the development and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines. Any attempt to obstruct or interfere with my investigatory efforts would be grounds for contempt of Congress,” Chairman Johnson wrote.

Chairman Johnson called on these agencies to initiate an investigation to determine:

The extent to which officials with HHS and its sub-agencies, including Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, deleted or destroyed official agency records; and
The extent to which officials with HHS and its sub-agencies, including Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, deleted or destroyed official agency records to avoid or subvert Congressional oversight or the Freedom of Information Act.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doctor in charge of monitoring reports of adverse COVID-19 vaccine reactions has been accused by a Republican senator of mishandling and possibly deleting key records.

Officials at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) struggled to find records belonging to Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, the director of the CDC’s Immunization Safety Office, while trying to comply with a subpoena from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) for vaccine safety data.

“HHS officials recently informed me that Dr. Shimabukuro’s records remain lost and, potentially, removed from HHS’s email system altogether,” Johnson wrote in a Wednesday letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and acting HHS watchdog Juliet Hodgkins.

“Dr. Shimabukuro’s potential mishandling of his official records is highly concerning.”

It is not clear what specific records are missing, but Johnson’s team was told HHS was struggling to locate information for which Shimabukuro had responsibility and that should exist, an aide explained to The Post.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller was on “Sunday Morning Futures” and discussed President Trump’s America first approach to trade deals.

“You were targeting specific items from day one. Walk us through these exemptions,” Bartiromo asked regarding tariff exemptions on certain items.

“This is just another great example of how President Trump had a detailed plan from the beginning that’s being executed exactly as directed,” Miller said.

“When the President issued his reciprocal tariffs, our government at the time specifically said that chips and semiconductors, which are critical components of our national security, are gonna be dealt with through a separate commerce authority, known as a 232,” Miller explained.

“This is a sophisticated, elegant, detailed plan to deal with Chinese economic aggression against the United States,” Miller continued.

Bartiromo also asked Miller to explain President Trump’s 90-day period of negotiation on trade.

“What can you tell us about this 90-day period where President Trump is negotiating with our allies on trade?” Bartiromo asked.

“As President Trump has said, he has dispatched his team, Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, Jamison Greer, to have conversations with these countries and to explain to them, their egregious trade abuses, how they have manipulated their currencies, how they have illegally subsidized their industries and how they have ballooned the trade deficit,” Miller said.

“The 90-day pause before the tariff rates snap back, gives us an opportunity to have that conversation with each of these countries,” Miller continued.

Miller also called out China’s distortion of the world-wide trading system.

“China has distorted the entire global trading system through decades of intellectual property theft, trademark theft, copyright theft, industrial espionage, currency manipulation, illegal subsidization of critical industries,” Miller declared.

“It took so long for us to finally have a President, Donald Trump, who will protect and defend America from these abuses, while every other President, Democrat and Republican, allowed China to plunder us,” Miller continued.

“Why is it that we allow them to roll over America and undermine this great country every day?” Bartiromo asked.

“They have done it for decades. It is shameful that core elements of our industrial base, our medical base, our manufacturing base, our pharmaceutical base, our defense base, our electronic components, our chips, our critical minerals, that all of the things that power a country. We have allowed those supply chains to be centered in China,” Miller warned.

The Department of Justice has finally fired Peter Carr — the longtime spokesman who served as the public mouthpiece for two of the most politically charged anti-Trump crusades in recent history: the Robert Mueller and Jack Smith investigations.

Carr, who has been embedded within the DOJ since 2007, was abruptly terminated Friday by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, a Trump ally and former defense attorney who successfully represented the president against politically motivated charges in New York.

In a farewell email to reporters obtained by NBC News, Carr wrote: “I have just been informed by the DAG that I have been let go. It’s been a pleasure working with all of you.”

Peter Carr served as a Senior Communications Advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), handling public affairs and media relations.

His role was to oversee communications for various DOJ components, including the Criminal Division.

As Robert Mueller’s spokesman, Carr spun the narrative that kept the mainstream media salivating for years — a narrative that resulted in zero charges against President Trump for collusion or obstruction.

Carr later played a central PR role for Special Counsel Jack Smith, whose own sham investigations into Trump were riddled with bias, legal overreach, and political timing.

Smith hit Trump with charges over both the 2020 election aftermath and classified documents at Mar-a-Lago — only to see both cases collapsed and dismissed in late 2024 after Trump’s historic comeback win.

The Navy has confirmed that it removed the books from the library in order to comply with directives issued by the president that seek to eliminate the racist Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) ideology from across the federal government.

“We can confirm the U.S. Naval Academy has removed nearly 400 books from their Nimitz Library collection in order to ensure compliance with all directives outlined in executive orders issued by the president,” a Navy spokesperson said.

“Nimitz Library houses roughly 590,000 print books, 322 databases, and over 5,000 print journals and magazines to support the academic inquiries and intellectual development of Midshipmen.”

Three former employees of Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. have filed a lawsuit against the company, its owner Melissa Jefferson (professionally known as “Lizzo”), and former tour manager Shirlene Quigley.

Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis, and Noelle Rodriguez allege that they were subjected to a hostile work environment that included sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation during their employment with the company.

The plaintiffs’ dance cast captain, defendant Ms. Quigley, is accused of frequently discussing her sexual fantasies and masturbation habits in lurid detail with the cast. The lawsuit goes further to claim that she would publicly practice her oral sex skills on bananas during breaks.

According to the lawsuit, Lizzo has consistently pressured her employees to partake in sexually explicit activities. This includes an incident at Bananenbar in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where Lizzo is accused of coercing her employees to engage with nude performers.

An arsonist allegedly set fire to the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were asleep inside.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m., prompting a swift response from the Pennsylvania State Police, who safely evacuated the family from the residence. ​

State police confirmed that the fire was deliberately set, marking a rare and alarming breach of security at the official home of the state’s highest executive.

The Pennsylvania State Police are leading a multi-agency investigation into the incident and have offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

According to the press release:

On April 13, 2025, at approximately 2: 00 a.m., members of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire responded to the Governor’s Residence, located on North Front Street, Harrisburg City, Dauphin County, for the report of a fire. While the investigation is ongoing, the State Police is prepared to say at this time that this was an act of arson.

While the fire was successfully extinguished, it caused a significant amount of damage to a portion of the residence.

Once again, the media and Twitter pundits are misrepresenting President Trump.

They claim he wants a military parade in his honor, but the truth is, the event is meant to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army—it just happens to fall on his birthday.

Critics keep pointing out that Trump never served in the military. Ironically, neither did Biden, Obama, or Clinton, yet Democrats never questioned their right to serve as commander-in-chief.

Trump’s veteran status is irrelevant; he is the president, and as commander-in-chief, it is both logical and appropriate for him to preside over a major military anniversary parade.

Liberals have compared the proposed parade to military displays in Russia or North Korea—completely missing the point that allies like Britain, France, and others also hold large military parades or include the armed forces in major national celebrations.

They’re also complaining about the parade’s proposed budget, calling it wasteful—despite consistently opposing efforts to cut actual government waste. It’s telling that they only seem to care about spending when it involves honoring the military.

Where veterans should truly be outraged is in how the media, in their effort to attack Trump, are downplaying the significance of the Army’s 250th anniversary—as if this isn’t a major milestone, or as if the Army hasn’t done enough for this country to deserve recognition. That’s the real insult.

The idea for a parade first emerged in 2017 after President Trump attended France’s Bastille Day celebration and expressed admiration for their display of military strength.

In 2018, the Pentagon explored the possibility of organizing a similar U.S. parade to honor veterans and the armed forces—not Trump personally. The plan was ultimately scrapped during his first term.

Now, discussions have resurfaced about a possible parade in Washington, D.C., on June 14, 2025—which happens to be President Trump’s birthday.

Critics have dismissed it as a “Trump birthday parade,” but the date also marks the anniversary of the Continental Congress’s creation of the U.S. Army in 1775—an act that laid the foundation for American independence and led to the appointment of George Washington as commander-in-chief. It’s also Flag Day, a patriotic holiday that many Americans have overlooked in recent decades.

Another common criticism from media outlets and Democratic politicians is that President Trump should not be allowed to hold a military parade, especially after initiating major shakeups at the Department of Defense and laying off thousands of civilian employees as part of his broader effort to reduce government waste.

Additionally, Trump reinstated service members who were discharged for refusing COVID-19 vaccinations during the previous administration.

These troops have had their records cleared and are receiving back pay—a move widely seen as correcting a political wrong and restoring trust between the government and its uniformed personnel.

The Trump administration has also proposed a $1 trillion defense budget, one of the largest in U.S. history, aimed at increasing military readiness, expanding training programs, and upgrading outdated equipment.
