JUST IN: President Trump Fires Almost the Entire ‘Civil Rights’ Branch of Department of Homeland Security – Woke Office is Responsible for ‘Oversight’ Over Immigration Crackdown

President Trump continues to cleanse the government of woke bureaucrats who are potentially looking to sabotage his agenda.

The New York Times reported on Friday afternoon that Trump has now gutted the Civil Rights branch of the Department of Homeland Security, terminating almost every worker. This group is responsible for oversight of Trump’s immigration crackdown.

The more than 100 staffers will be allowed to find another job within the administration or hit the unemployment line in two months. Either way, they are no longer employed at their current positions.

The more than 100 staff members were told on Friday they would be put on leave for 60 days to find another job in the administration or be fired in May, according to five current and former government officials. Mr. Trump also closed the ombudsman for Citizenship and Immigration Services, another office responsible for scrutinizing the administration’s legal immigration policies.

The moves were the latest attempt by Mr. Trump to root out civil rights divisions and oversight mechanisms across government agencies. But the shuttering of the Homeland Security Department’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties was particularly notable given the lack of transparency over the administration’s immigration crackdown.

DHS officials from the Biden regime were angry upon hearing Trump would not tolerate potential subversion from within his government.

“It’s a demonstration of their total contempt for any checks on their power,” whined Deborah Fleischaker, a former civil rights office worker and chief of staff of Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the Biden regime.

“This is a clear message that those things do not matter to this administration,” she added.

But Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Homeland Security Department, correctly pointed out that woke offices such as the Civil Rights branch in the past have acted to slow operations to a crawl as a means of defiance.

“These offices have obstructed immigration enforcement by adding bureaucratic hurdles and undermining D.H.S.’s mission,” she said. “Rather than supporting law enforcement efforts, they often function as internal adversaries that slow operations.”

Of course, this perfectly lawful decision by Trump will undoubtedly be appealed by left-wing agitators. Hopefully, a judge dedicated to upholding the rule of law will hear the case rather than another far-left, black-robed tyrant.
