Daniel Charles Ball, a Florida resident recently pardoned by President Donald Trump for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol protest, has been rearrested on unrelated federal gun charges.
Ball, 39, hailing from Homosassa, Florida, was initially arrested in May 2023 for his alleged participation in the Capitol events.
He faced multiple charges, including assaulting police officers with a deadly weapon and using an explosive device during the protest. Denied bail, Ball remained in pretrial detention in Washington, D.C., awaiting trial.
On Monday, Trump signed an executive order granting pardon to patriots who’ve been imprisoned by the Biden/Obama shadow government for daring to protest the legitimacy of the 2020 election.
Among the approximately 1,500 individuals pardoned by Trump on Monday was Daniel Charles Ball.
Ball contacted his parents immediately after learning he had been pardoned by President Trump.

Just one day after his January 6 case was dismissed, Daniel Ball was arrested again on pending federal firearms charges.

This sounds like a political hit job, why did they wait to charge him? pic.twitter.com/GFOBW4RCJA

Court documents reveal that in August 2023, an arrest warrant was issued in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, charging Ball with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon.
This charge relates to a .22 caliber rifle and ammunition found at his residence. Ball’s criminal history includes felony convictions for domestic battery and resisting law enforcement with violence, according to the New York Post.
Many conservatives see this as yet another politically motivated attack.
This comes as no surprise—a Democrat District Attorney is now attempting to bring state charges against pardoned January 6 defendants.
Soros-backed Philly District Attorney Larry Krasner is exploring state charges against January 6ers pardoned by President Trump.
Per CNN reporter Marshall Cohen: “Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner, a progressive Democrat, is exploring state charges against pardoned US Capitol rioters from PA. This would face significant legal hurdles, like double jeopardy. But he told me, “you can have a state prosecution for conduct that was not fully encompassed in the federal prosecution.”
