Comedian Terrence Williams humorously rebuked previous South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley after her remarks about experiencing “bigotry” due to her “brown” skin.
Haley, throughout a joint interview with NBC News and The Des Moines Register, shared her battles maturing in a little southern town as the only Indian household.
She stated occurrences of being teased for her skin color and the obstacles she dealt with, consisting of being disqualified from a charm pageant for not fitting into predefined racial classifications.
” We were the only Indian household in our little southern town. I was teased every day for being brown. Anybody who desires to question it can go back and look at what I’ve stated on how tough it was to grow up in the Deep South as a brown woman,” stated Haley.
” If you would like to know what it resembled maturing, I was disqualified from an appeal pageant since I wasn’t white or black since they didn’t understand where to put me. Look, I understand the difficulties, the discomfort that come with bigotry. It’s the factor that I combat bullies every day when it pertains to bigotry, antisemitism, or hate,” she included.

In his video reaction, Williams humorously questioned Haley’s assertion of being “brown,” comparing her complexion to numerous things and sardonically declaring himself as the only white household in Compton, California.
