A coalition of over thirty attorneys representing more than 1,500 individuals harmed by the failed Ebola drug Remdesivir (also marketed as Veklury®) has sent a scathing cease-and-desist letter to ABC.
The letter demands the immediate removal of content from the pilot episode of ABC’s new medical drama, Doctor Odyssey, which portrays Remdesivir as a “miracle cure.”
The legal demand obtained by The Gateway Pundit accuses ABC of promoting the drug through misleading and dangerous claims, potentially influencing viewers to trust and pursue treatments that have caused severe harm, including acute kidney injury, liver damage, and even death.
It should be noted that in November 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) advised against the use of remdesivir in hospitalized patients, citing evidence suggesting it had little or no effect on mortality or other important outcomes.
In September 2022, lawsuits were filed against three California health care providers on grounds they used failed Ebola drug Remdesivir on patients without obtaining informed consent, resulting in the wrongful deaths of several patients
Now, the attorneys, led by Jamie Scher, Stephen Scher, and Michael Hamilton, argue that their clients, many of whom suffered life-altering injuries, were coerced into using Remdesivir under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) guidelines.
They claim these individuals were denied informed consent due to misinformation and the deliberate withholding of critical risk factors.
The letter outlines a series of demands, including:
- Immediate Removal: Dub or delete any mentions of Remdesivir from Doctor Odyssey.
- Financial Transparency: Disclose any agreements between ABC and the drug’s manufacturer, Gilead Sciences.
- Victim Compensation: Establish funds for individuals harmed by Remdesivir after viewing the misleading content.
- Public Apology: Broadcast an apology across ABC-affiliated stations, warning viewers about the drug’s risks.
Failure to meet these demands by December 31, 2024, will result in legal action, according to the attorneys.

Our clients were coerced and/or defrauded into accepting one or more rounds of the EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) experimental drug and were denied the opportunity to give informed consent through misinformation and the deliberate withholding of risk factors critical
to any legal or moral definition of informed consent. Coercion and fraud constitute violation of federal, civil and criminal codes and statutes. False advertisement and distribution of misinformation also constitutes violation of federal, civil and criminal codes and statutes.
It has come to our attention that ABC, Inc., and/or one or more of its affiliates have begun falsely advertising Remdesivir as a “Miracle Cure” in the new pilot episode television series “Dr. Odyssey”.
The purpose of this letter is to demand that you immediately remove the false advertisement from the Pilot, cease promoting the deadly experimental drug on any of your platforms and disgorge all funds used to promote, advertise or place Remdesivir/Veklury in front of unsuspecting and trusting viewers.
Coercing any patient into using dangerous and experimental drugs falls into the criminal categories of assault and/or battery, wrongful imprisonment, conspiracy to commit criminal acts against him to enrich the hospital, attempted murder and actual murder should they die.
Your efforts to promote Remdesivir as a miracle cure and your participation in an apparent attempt to defraud the public exposes you to shared liability, should someone be harmed by Remdesivir after watching Doctor Odyssey.
We intend to start asking our future clients if they viewed the Pilot and will be including you and one or more of your affiliates as Defendants when we determine that we have a viable cause of action against your clients for spreading potentially fraudulent information about Remdesivir/Veklury.
Dr. Bryan Ardis has issued public warnings about the dangers of Remdesivir.In the following footnote you will find the randomized controlled study published by the New England Journal of Medicine in which Remdesivir was pulled from Ebola Controlled Trials because of the high death rates, in which approximately 53% of those receiving the experimental and toxic drug dies. This study was funded and/or supported by the NAIAD, the NIH, the WHO, the DHHS, the DARPA arm of the DOD, and of course Gilead Sciences.
We hereby DEMAND that you IMMEDIATELY CEASE AND DESIST using any of your platforms to promote and/or place Remdesivir/Veklury® in front of viewers in any way.
Remdesivir has been determined to be unsafe and ineffective by a number of trials/studies including by the WHO. Remdesivir/Veklury® is a nucleotide analogue RNA polymerase inhibitor. It can cause acute kidney injury, liver damage and multi organ failure among other things, symptoms of lungs filling with fluid, kidney poisoning and other organ damage that are known side-effects of Remdesivir/Veklury®.
In short, Remdesivir has been demonstrated to cause more harm than good. (Doctor Reveals Remdesivir is the Real Cause of COVID-19 Maladies).
Moreover studies have been published showing a causal connection between Remdesivir and the death of heart cells, heart attacks, and bradycardia with worsening QT interval.
Remdesivir received Emergency Use Authorization in or around May of 2020, after being recommended by an NIH panel that contained nine individuals with financial ties to its creators and manufacturers, Gilead Sciences and Pfizer.
The adverse drug reactions corelated to Remdesivir administration can be deemed the equivalent of a death sentence for a COVID patient, or a patient with Pneumonia.
For this reason alone, we are prepared to press for civil and/or criminal consequences against anyone complicit in perpetuating misinformation regarding Remdesivir/Veklury®.
As an EUA product it cannot be mandated according to Federal Law and giving it to a patient against their wishes and without full informed consent amounts to human experimentation in violation of the Nuremburg Code (as codified in 45 CFR 46). Doctors who experimented on humans during the Holocaust without their consent were convicted and executed for crimes against humanity.
We are prepared to file a lawsuit with an Emergency Motion for Relief on several fronts. The lawsuit will be addressing such subjects as fraud, conspiracy, failure to treat, deliberate tortious interference, coercion, battery, fraud with malice, conspiracy to commit fraud, deprivation and violation of fundamental Constitutional liberties, attempted murder, and human rights violations, to name a few.
If you fail or refuse to immediately remove the content in question from Doctor Odyssey and your other platforms, we will have no choice but to pursue further action in each case since the pilot first aired. In the discovery phase we will examine your books and communications to determine what relationship ABC, Inc. and its affiliates have with Gilead and Pfizer, and what financial incentives are available to you for favorably mentioning the demonstrably toxic Remdesivir/Veklury®, on your Platforms.
In lieu of going to Court, you may satisfy our Demands as follows:
- Dub or remove any mention of the drug Remdesivir/Veklury from the Pilot episode of Doctor Odyssey and any and all other episodes of said programming;
- Disgorge any and all monies received by ABC and its affiliates for the promotion and advertisement of Remdesivir/Veklury;
- Turn over all Agreements and Contracts regarding advertisement and promotion of Remdesivir/Veklury;
- Establish a fund for potential Plaintiffs who were injured or killed after consenting to Remdesivir because they heard it was referred to as the “miracle cure” on the Doctor Odyssey TV show or any of its affiliate shows;
- Establish a litigation fund for victims of Remdesivir/Veklury; and
- Broadcast an apology on all ABC affiliate stations that aired the Pilot, with an acknowledgement of your undisclosed sponsor(ed) content together with an apology and a Notice to warn viewers against the use of Remdesivir/Veklury.
WE INTEND TO FILE THE EMERGENCY MOTIONS AS DESCRIBED IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE BY THE 31ST DAY OF DECEMBER, 2024.
In October, The Gateway Pundit ran an exclusive article about a military whistleblower who shared his motivation for releasing the explosive “The Remdesivir Papers” report.
Emphasizing that his views don’t reflect those of the Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, an active-duty service member spoke to The Gateway Pundit using the pseudonym Daniel LeMay for fear of reprisals.
“I’m not the first person to speculate that people were dying of the treatment protocols and then research it only to find that it’s completely supported by factual data,” he said. “Hospitals across the country were being compensated, not just for remdesivir, but for their entire standard of care protocol.”
For LeMay, “the entire ordeal really became an exposé of the truth that if you go far enough past the threshold of reckless disregard for human life, you’ll find actual evil that can’t be written off.” He explained, “Only if someone is absolutely objectified could you dress up known-to-be harmful drugs as essential to recover from a disease.”
He added, “It was very easy to get people to consent when they were sealed in a room by themselves, unable to receive visitors.” And while this occurred, coercion became easier. “They were given the promise that, with remdesivir, they’d be able to leave the hospital sooner,” he explained. “I’m sure most people took it so that they could reunite with the families they’ve been isolated from.” Sadly, many died as result.
“While people were dying,” LeMay said, “Their deaths were being unlawfully labeled COVID deaths when the deaths should have been attributed to the treatment protocol.”
