The Cinco de Mayo Parade on Chicago’s Southwest Side was rerouted on Sunday after reports of violence in the location.
The parade has a history of interruptions. From the COVID pandemic to a series of disputes in between organizers and city authorities, it wasn’t even held from 2018 to2022 The parade just made its return in 2015.
