Eliza Fletcher’s body was discovered near the suspect’s sibling’s house days later on.

Abston has a long rap sheet and formerly served jail time.

Cleotha Abston was implicated of rape as a pre-teen and formerly served 20 years in jail for kidnapping a district attorney at gunpoint in 2000, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported

Tennessee district attorneys stated they will not dismiss the death sentence if Abston is founded guilty.
