Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued an update on FAA and NTSB investigations into two plane crashes on the East Coast this week.

As of now, there is not much new information. However, Duffy said, “in the coming days,” the Department of Transportation is “going to have more announcements.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, an American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas, collided with a U.S. military helicopter late Wednesday night at Reagan International Airport, reporters had questions about airplane safety.

President Trump has proposed that incompetence and DEI hiring practices were a potential cause of Wednesday’s tragedy. The President addressed Wednesday’s crash during a press conference Thursday and pointed out the disastrous record of Pete Buttigieg, the DEI hire and former Transportation Secretary.

Less than 48 hours after the Washington, DC crash, a Learjet carrying six individuals crashed near Northeast Philadelphia Airport moments after takeoff.

It is still unclear exactly what caused the crashes, as NTSB and FAA investigators are still investigating the incidents.

Duffy released an update on Saturday, stating that he is in contact with local officials and will provide updates to the public as he learns more. “It’s going to take time, but as I get those answers, I’m going to share that with all of you,” he said.

President Trump will likely address the latest crash this week at the White House as he did following the crash Wednesday at Reagan International.

Duffy: We’ve had a heart-wrenching week in aviation. A couple of days ago, I had a chance to sit down with a few of the family members who lost loved ones in the DC crash. Their pain is unimaginable. I committed transparency to them. When I know information, I’m going to share it with them, but also with the American people.

Up in Philadelphia, we’ve sent a team of FAA investigators in conjunction with the NTSB. We’re not going to have answers right away. It’s going to take time, but as I get those answers, I’m going to share that with all of you.

I also had a conversation with Governor Shapiro, letting him know that whatever resources he needs from this department, we are going to partner with him and Philadelphia in whatever they need from the Department of Transportation.

Back in DC yesterday, we restricted the airspace around DCA from helicopter travel, making sure people feel safe as they come in and out of our capital city. In the coming days, we’re going to have more announcements. I want Americans to feel confident in American air travel.
