Trump-hating ABC host David Muir was caught on tape letting personal vanity slip in as he reported on the Southern California wildfires and ended up humiliating himself in front of the whole country.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, a massive 3,000-acre wildfire raged out of control and engulfed homes in Pacific Palisades, California, on Tuesday afternoon. Shocking and heartbreaking footage has emerged showing people abandoning their cars and running for their lives as the fire closes in.

Tragically, several individuals have lost their homes, entire livelihoods, and even their lives over the past several hours as the fire shows no signs of abating. Meanwhile, firefighters are having issues with water pressure.

On Wednesday night, Muir reported on the latest news about the fires. But what should have been an uneventful sequence turned into a disaster for the ABC reporter.

As Muir turns his head to point out the carnage, eagle-eyed social media users notice something stunning on the back of his jacket.

“As you can see here behind me,” Muir states. When he turns his body to point out the carnage, wooden clamps can be seen holding his jacket together to make him look good for the camera supposedly.

Yes, he literally had wooden clothespins holding up his jacket.

In pursuit of vanity, Muir ended up making himself look like an idiot in the process.
