Monday night’s Elite Eight match in between Iowa and LSU was seen by 12.3 million audiences, according to ESPN, that makes it the most-viewed females’s college basketball video game on record and the most-watched college basketball video game ever on ESPN platforms.
Iowa dominated 94-87 in the nationwide title video game rematch to reject LSU an opportunity at a 2nd successive champion.
LSU’s 102-85 success over the Hawkeyes in 2015 set the previous record, balancing 9.9 million audiences and peaking at 12.6 million audiences. That video game was transmitted by ABC. Monday’s aired on ESPN.
