AP called the race with simply 7.7% of the votes counted.
McMaster was ahead with 31,624 votes at 84.5% of the vote, according to AP.
South Carolina GOP Senator Tim Scott won Tuesday’s main in an uncontested race.

Trump-hating RINO Reps Nancy Mace and Tom Rice, both representing districts in South Carolina, are combating to hold on after Trump backed their oppositions.
Trump backed Katie Arrington versus Nancy Mace and Tom Rice is up versus Trump-endorsed state Rep. Russell Fry.
President Trump swore to unseat all of the RINOs who enacted favor of impeachment.
Hopefully South Carolina citizens send out Mace and Rice packaging.
