In what can just be deemed an enormous betrayal of public trust, 2 days ago a Louisiana Senate Judiciary Committee beat legislation that would have forbidden sworn foes of the United States from buying unmovable residential or commercial property in the interior of the State.

The Committee is bulk Republican, and its Chairman is Senator Barrow Peacock who represents Caddo and Bossier Parishes in North Louisiana. Neither Peacock nor any other Republican committee member opposed a movement by Democrat Senator Jay Luneau to delay Republican Representative Valarie Hodges’ legislation, successfully eliminating it. The legislation, House Bill 537, had actually passed extremely out of the State House and seemed a cinch for passage in the Senate.

Due to enormous pressure from Louisiana people in the face of Peacock’s inactiveness, it appears that Peacock is close to rescheduling the Bill for factor to consider prior to his Committee. If it is not passed in Committee by June 2, there will not suffice time prior to the June 8 close of the Legislative Session for it to be thought about and passed in the complete Senate. It is tough, however possible, today.

Anybody who has any doubt about China’s royal styles on the United States require just check out the current post by Calder Walton from the Harvard Kennedy School. It is a disastrous indictment of China’s full-blown efforts to take apart American vital facilities. That a Republican-dominated Committee in Louisiana would stop working to move legislation restricting the Chinese Communist Party from obtaining unmovable residential or commercial property on Louisiana soil is both mysterious and damning.

The craven action by Peacock and his Committee on Tuesday, May 30 is explained, in information, by this author in a current The State of Freedom podcast with co-host Danielle Walker. The description starts at 8 minutes, 28 seconds and goes on for a number of minutes.

This is a minute that requires immediate action by every worried person of our State and Country. If you read this, please Call Senator Barrow Peacock’s district workplace today at (318) 741-7180 and/or e-mail him at peacockb@legis.la.gov Need that House Bill 537 be heard prior to his Committee TOMORROW, June 2, 2023.

Also, please call the district workplace of Senate President Paige Cortez at (337) 993-7430 and email him at cortezp@legis.la.gov and need that House Bill 537 be passed in Committee and set up for a complete vote in the Senate instantly. If HB 537 does not pass the complete Senate this Session, 2 males are mostly to blame: Senator Barrow Peacock and Senator Paige Cortez. And it ought to be kept in mind.

Thomas Paine, in speaking of the American mission for flexibility 260 years back, stated that “These are the times that attempt males’s souls. The summertime soldier and the sunlight patriot will, in this crisis, avoid the service of his Country.” What simply took place in the Louisiana Senate is, certainly, a crisis of extensive significance to the future of our State and our Country. And it can not be permitted to stand. No one is asking that you use up arms, or swim throughout an ocean. We are asking that you make a call and send out an e-mail. Your liberty deserves this, and much, far more.

To paraphrase John F. Kennedy, we are in charge, and we will get the type of federal government we require and are worthy of. We will.
