Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appeared on MSNBC’s Politics Nation to go over racist roadways with host Al Sharpton.
Buttigieg informed Al Sharpton that traffic deaths occur due to the fact that of bigotry and discrimination.
” We’ve got a crisis when it concerns street casualties in America,” Buttigieg stated. “We lose about 40,000 individuals every year. It’s a level that is equivalent to weapon violence– and we see a great deal of racial variations. Black and brown Americans and tribal people and rural locals are a lot more most likely to lose their lives …”
Buttigieg continued, “There are a great deal of factor associated to discrimination … even associated to the method the roadways are created and who has access to a safe street style that’s got crosswalks and great lighting.”
Roads are now racist.
